My New Valentine- Oreck- Marmee's Ways

       Never did I think I would see the day I would fall in love with a vacuum... I am ashamed to say it but I have! I guess that makes me a real mom right? I have found myself cleaning out the most peculiar places with my vacuum cleaner....can you guess?

Kefir- WONDERFUL PROBIOTIC AND CHEAP

 To make your own water kefir you will need:

*Grains

* Mason jar

* organic sugar

* Purified water  

You can get grains from Cultures for Health. 

Directions:

  For every quart of water (4 cups) add 4 tablespoon of sugar and kefir grains.

This is the best sugar to use  Organic Whole Cane Sugar- unbleached and unrefined

Nursing and LOSING Weight!- Marmee's Ways

   Most Mommies know how hard it is to lose weight while nursing. Every time I tried just clean eating my milk was slowed down and I have One. Grumpy. Baby!! Of course my baby comes first so I kinda gave up. But encouraged by the all-knowing-sister she told me to try Trim Healthy Mama just for one week....but I kept putting it off, it seemed like too much prep for me. I need it easy peasy or I don't do it.... but after a few weeks of no weight lose I really needed something!

Whew...Back to blogging!

    My it has been two months since my last post... A combo of the holidays and a whining teething baby, who isn't interested in napping, as kept me busy. So I am trying to back to it!

EASY Coconut Creme Pie- The In-Laws are Coming!

       I'm usually not very adventurous-some when it comes to desserts but I had just a few days before tried a coconut creme pie and it was simply amazing and was pretty determined to make one versus paying $5 for a slice. Now, if you're a coconut hater don't be judgmental, it's still delish! I was also pleasantly surprised to find how easy it was.

           When was the last time you made something with parsnips? I wondered why they even sell them in the grocery stores...they are the best kept secret when it comes to roots! On vacation we stayed in DC with dear friends and little did we know they are marvelous chefs as well. They shared this delicious recipe with us and I had to try it myself!
